Deanna has lived in the Tahoe Truckee area for over 25 years. She has always had a passion for skiing and the outdoors. After attending some college with interest in Outdoor Recreational Leadership, she decided to take a year off of school to move to Tahoe and “get skiing out of her blood”. Twenty-seven years later she finds herself happy as ever in this beautiful mountain community and ski town.
Deanna is a mother of two beautiful and very athletic daughters. They all share a passion for skiing. Deanna grew up doing activities from skiing, to swimming, dancing, dirt bike riding, and diving. She discovered yoga while pregnant with her first daughter. There was an immediate passion for yoga. Yoga was such a complement to skiing and the active sports she participated in. She has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 15 years now.
Her passion for life, loving, laughing, and kindness is what she perpetuates in her yoga classes. Yoga is fun, happy, flowing and moving. It is about coming from a place of non-judgment, being good and taking care of yourself, accepting yourself for who you are, and being grateful for all we have in our lives. She enjoys bringing the fun and benefits of yoga into the crossfit gym and to the crossfit community.
