Ian was born in Southwest Michigan. Raised on a small farm and working on the large farm across the street, hard work was engrained in him since he was a child. “I always wanted to have muscles as big as my mom’s! Finally, at 34-years-old, I’m almost there!” After graduating from Michigan State University in December of 2004, he high-tailed it out of Michigan in early January of 2005. “After graduating, I had to make the incredibly difficult decision of whether to be a snowboard bum or surf bum.” Thankfully, he chose snowboarding and moved to beautiful Tahoe City, where he met his lovely future wife, Morgan. Working as a RN, he is no longer a bum, and enjoys coaching and participating in Crossfit, mountain biking, and snowboarding. Ian was first introduced to Crossfit while at UNR for nursing school in 2011. He loves Crossfit because of the opportunity it gives him to challenge himself on a daily basis and because of the incredible community within.

Hillary recently moved to Truckee and cannot get enough of the active mountain lifestyle. As a trail runner she definitely feels like she hit the jackpot. She is a Polestar Trained Pilates Instructor and Painless Running Coach.
Hillary was a competitive gymnast through high school, snowboarder and wakeboarder through college, and since having her second child, has directed her active nature to trail running. Although a successful trail runner placing well in races, she started experiencing pain as a result of her active lifestyle. Upon researching how to minimize pain while not sacrificing her love of running, she came across Pilates. Efficient movement coupled with a healthy diet has reduced pain associated with old injuries and shaved time off of PR's. Hillary now has three children and is motivated to share her love of exercise and running with those young and old. She believes everyone can benefit from efficient movement.

Becky Ngoon has been a licensed massage therapist since 2015. She attended school at the National Holistic Institute, A College of Massage Therapy in San Jose, California. While there, she completed a 900-hour program with a variety of modalities. She was instructed in Myofascial Therapy, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports massage, Shiatsu, Thai massage, Reflexology and Energy work. The program also included anatomy, kinesiology, physiology and pathology courses.
Growing up playing sports and playing soccer at a collegiate level has added to her understanding of the body and has guided her passion for a healthy and active lifestyle. Recovering from various injuries has given her insight to the healing process along with compassion and determination to share the benefits of massage therapy with others. She believes that the right balance of activity, recovery and positive self-care practices enable the individual to be empowered, happy and healthy.
Becky specializes in a Swedish and Deep Tissue combination that relaxes the body and relieves emotional and physical stress. It is a gentle approach at first, involving breath work which enables her to slowly work deeper with minimal pain and discomfort. She also loves to incorporate aromatherapy and energy work into sessions based on clients needs.
Becky loves spending time outdoors, with her dog Elmo and with friends. Truckee has become home for her, now having been here four years. She loves running and playing soccer, skiing and snowboarding, hiking and spending time at the lake, yoga and a fairly new practice of mediation. She is starting a 200-hour yoga teacher training at the end of October. She is also very interested in studying Craniosacral Therapy and continuing to explore other types of bodywork and healing practices.
Deanna has lived in the Tahoe Truckee area for over 25 years. She has always had a passion for skiing and the outdoors. After attending some college with interest in Outdoor Recreational Leadership, she decided to take a year off of school to move to Tahoe and “get skiing out of her blood”. Twenty-seven years later she finds herself happy as ever in this beautiful mountain community and ski town.
Deanna is a mother of two beautiful and very athletic daughters. They all share a passion for skiing. Deanna grew up doing activities from skiing, to swimming, dancing, dirt bike riding, and diving. She discovered yoga while pregnant with her first daughter. There was an immediate passion for yoga. Yoga was such a complement to skiing and the active sports she participated in. She has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 15 years now.
Her passion for life, loving, laughing, and kindness is what she perpetuates in her yoga classes. Yoga is fun, happy, flowing and moving. It is about coming from a place of non-judgment, being good and taking care of yourself, accepting yourself for who you are, and being grateful for all we have in our lives. She enjoys bringing the fun and benefits of yoga into the crossfit gym and to the crossfit community.
